2 ยท Jan 21, 2020 If the owners have looked after it very carefully and changed the oil regularly then 50k miles is not a huge mileage for an F650GS engine. The engine is fitted with a Nikosil lined cylinder which means that the bore should last a long time.

This isn't a problem as the chains typically come 120 links then you shorten them. DHP #711. Most chain manufacturers recommend a maximum engine capacity for their chains.
Vibarationis hardly a symptom of bearing gone bad. More likely it is wheel (tire quality, tube, rim runout, bearings, imbalance) or suspension or loose steering head. If there is a wear at the bearings, there is a noticeable threshold at the mid postition when you turn steering from side to side when suspension on load.
